La Muerte - Time Bandit multi sport kayak
I finally decided on a name for my Time Bandit, La Muerte, the Spanish word
for death, however as it is a feminine word and I am a fan of
Neil Gaiman's
Sandman,
the goth girl style
Death from
the series seemed like a good name. I have been told many a time that boats
need female names, and though this could be seen as macabre or tempting fate I
decided I liked it enough to go ahead and do the naming.
A friend, Alan, kindly printed up all the lettering and images on vinyl for me
and I put them onto the boat one night. I need to ad some photos of La Muerte
in the day light and out paddling now the name is there for good. Some other
photos of La Muerte in use are on a
page I put up from
paddling near Macksville in February.
