This is where I fell in. I was constantly paddling up through the small
rapid sections. This time there was a lot of water coming across from
the right hand side to where the narrow section of the river was moving
fast.

As soon as the nose of the boat got to the fast waer it spun around
into the middle of the fast moving water and towards the other bank. I
fell in half way around and had to swim the boat back to where it is
sitting here.

Coming back under the bellingen bridge on the way down, the small rapid
water sections were a heap of fun, I probably should have started at
Thora and simply paddled down through all of them, after Bellingen
there were only one or two really fast water sections.

As I cam under the bridge I saw a number of people who had paddled up
to Bellingen from lower down (I saw their cars where they put in lower
down in the river). There were two lovely strip panel wood kayaks among
them.

On the bank next to Bellingen Canoe Adventures there were around 50
large water birds, not sure what they were. I wanted to get a photo,
however was a little close to them and banged the kayak with the paddle
as I got my camera out, thus I only got a few in shot as they flew
away.

This is the small tidal pool the control was in during geoquest last
year, shame I missed this leg, though the tide was a little low to
paddle in here currently.
